HOUSE OF BERNARDA ALBA
St Paul's School | Hammersmith, London| 2020
Open and exposing, the design reflects the refusal of intimacy that Bernarda enforces upon her family. With nowhere to hide, the sisters and servants watch each others every move, causing hostility that drives them away from each other. I went with themes and colors that evoked drought and heat, as well as materials and shapes that try to obscure things, but ultimately fail to. |
